Dr. Tim J. Anderson teaches at Old Dominion University in the Department of Communication and Theater Arts. His research focuses on popular music with a specific focus on those cultural and industrial forms and systems that "make music popular".
Dr. Anderson knows many things including that there is plenty he does not know.
Dr. Anderson's favorite things include his super cute wife, Katie, his family, dusty records, the B-sides of singles, Little Eva's "Locomotion", cats, quality sandwiches, records with hand claps, a bunch of bands (just ask him), the iPod shuffle, solid coffee, Dark Side of the Moon, Murmur, Rumours, most Clash and Roxy Music records, and Dr. Bronner's soaps. Dr Anderson believes that Please, Please Me can hold its own with any other Beatles' album. And then there's all kinds of other stuff that's probably more important that he should remember but forgets.
